I took this shot last week about 20 miles from our home in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. I was surprised that the photo turned out. I loved the vivid holiday colors that created an abstract look.
Can you guess where this shot was taken? There are clues if you look closely.
Writer, marketer, columnist, author, photographer, birder, walker, hiker, husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, township trustee, converted Anabaptist, community activist, my life is crammed with all things people and nature and wonder. My late father gave me this penchant for giving and getting the most out of life, my late mother the courtesy, kindness, and creativity to see the joy in life. They both taught me to cherish the people I am with. I try and fail and try again.

Congratulations, Marie-Helene! This photo was taken in a cave, but not the Shenandoah Caverns. We attended a Christmas caroling fundraiser in the Grand Caverns in Grottoes, VA. They had holiday lights and candles throughout the tour, and this particular spot had a water pool, which created the reflections. Well done!
Thanks, Melodie. They hold this fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Grottoes every year. We heard Cantore. It was great. They have one the next two Saturdays, but they only take three tours of 50 people. So, if you are interested, check the Grand Caverns’ website to see if they still have openings.
Somebody’s colorful clothesline? :))

Audrey that is certainly what it looks like, but look a little closer. The railing in the foreground is a hint.

I see stalactites and stalagmites in Advent colors. Very nice! Shenandoah Caverns? (It’s what I found on the internet😉)

Before I read the giveaway above, I thought, one of our local caverns. I’ve never been at Christmas. Very nice!
