Fall is my favorite time of year. When you have scenes like this one around nearly every turn, you can see why I say that. Last fall, National Geographic ranked Holmes Co., Ohio as the number one location in the world to view the changing of the leaves. I don’t know exactly what criteria they used, but they’ll get no argument from me.
Writer, marketer, columnist, author, photographer, birder, walker, hiker, husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, township trustee, converted Anabaptist, community activist, my life is crammed with all things people and nature and wonder. My late father gave me this penchant for giving and getting the most out of life, my late mother the courtesy, kindness, and creativity to see the joy in life. They both taught me to cherish the people I am with. I try and fail and try again.

That’s one way of looking at it, Bonnie. (Sorry. I couldn’t resist the pun.)

Beautiful setting. Today is very windy and sadly many of the colorful leaves will be down. It’s been a pretty fall….also my favorite season.

That’s all part of the season, Elaine. We have to enjoy the colors while we can.
